I was raised in Eli Baker Lodge No. 62, F.& A.M., Prince Hall Jurisdiction of California and Hawaii.
I was initiated as an Entered Apprentice on September 21, 1990. Passed to Fellowcraft on September 21, 1990 and raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on November 16, 1990.
Elected to the scholarly Phylaxis Society in March 1996 and elected to the international Philalethes Society also in March 1996.
I was exalted to the most sublime degree of Royal Arch Mason in Abyssinia Chapter No. 5, Oakland, California, on May 11, 1996.
I entered the most valiant and magnanimous Order of Knights Templar in St. Bernard Commandery No. 4, Oakland, California, on June 15, 1996.
I was constituted a Sublime Prince of the Royal Secret (320 of Freemasonry) on June 7, 1997, at Victoria Consistory No. 25, Valley of Oakland, California, A.A.S.R., Southern Jurisdiction, Prince Hall Affiliated..
