The York Rite Bodies of Freemasonry

My purpose is to showcase the York Rite bodies of Freemasonry. The Scottish Rite is extremely popular, especially in California where I live. Their popularity is due to, of course, their many good programs. The York Rite is the "Learning House". If you are interested in expanding your Masonic knowledge, this is the place to be!

The history of the York Rite spans two hundred years. The York Rite is composed of three separate bodies (or houses):

• The Chapter of Holy Royal Arch
• The Council of Royal and Select Masters
• The Commandery of Knights Templar

Take a look at the overall structure of the York Rite. Click Here. Most people do not know that the Order of the Temple (Knights Templar "degree") is equilivalent to the Scottish Rite's 32nd degree.
